Green Gables Natural Home Interiors is a small retail store located in Lopez Village in the Friendly Isle Building.  We provide resources and a line of products  that allow people to choose ecologically sound and sustainable home building materials .

We have carefully chosen our product line to reflect our belief that it is possible to make sound and sustainable choices when it comes to designing, building, and remodeling your home. The products we offer are a combination of organic, natural and recycled materials.

These include:

Flooring:

• We have a beautiful high-quality collection of bamboo, cork, natural linoleum, and natural wool fiber carpets and felt pads. We can also design custom wool and grass area rugs to suit your needs.

Countertops:

• Enjoy gorgeous surfaces made from recycled paper, stone and glass.  We are proud to be the San Juan Island’s local retailer of PaperStone products.

Tiles:

•  We offer a generous selection of recycled glass tiles to create a truly custom look for your home.

Fabrics:

• Only the most environmentally sensitive textiles; such as hemp and organic cotton in natural colors and colors with low impact dyes, are offered.  Our fabrics are perfect for upholstery, window coverings, duvets, and pillows.

Finishes:

• We exclusively offer Vermont Natural Coatings, a high quality, non toxic, wood finishing product that is naturally derived from whey proteins, a byproduct of cheese making in Vermont.

Cabinetry:

• View the beautiful cabinets that can be created with bamboo and built locally here on Lopez Island by Phoenix Rain Woodworking.
